Feedback gevenI tried this local cuisine, hoping for the best, as food options on Mercer Island are somewhat limited. I was truly impressed by the delicious and authentic dim sum. I overheard the waitress mentioning that the chef is new and has moved here from Hong Kong. They also plan to expand the menu to include more pasta dishes and congee, which is exciting!
I've heard about the new location, and I really enjoyed the Ma Po Tofu. It wasn’t mind-blowing, but it packed a good amount of heat along with the Szechuan peppercorns (numbing spices) that I love. I'm looking forward to trying some of the other dishes. The service was good, though there was only one other table, so that may not be a full indicator of their performance.
There's a new chef at Tiger Garden, and the change is fantastic. The food is delicious, reflecting authentic Hong Kong style. The aromas are light and delicate, portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. The shrimp soup features a flavorful but light broth, and the dumplings are a must-try. The menu is extensive, offering large portions ideal for sharing with family. If you visit alone, be prepared to take some leftovers home!
I had the vegetarian tofu. It was pile of American Chinese food and very tasty. Many tofu and vegetables with onions, red peppers and water chestnuts. They even give white rice for free rarity in my experience. Come back, thank you!
The food is pretty good, but it is a bit expensive for what it is. Pot stickers are good, beef and broccoli dish was great.
