Palatos Italian - Mercer

We did not enjoy this restaurant. The food was bland, the space was dark, and our server was busy much of the time. We do not plan on returning.

Came in on Sunday afternoon around 2:45, not super busy, was seated and ordered two sandwiches (not pizza...sandwiches) maybe 15-20 minutes later. Never got my food and walked out after being there an hour. Waitress never came back to the table to offer more water or to update the status of our food, while others who had come after us were being served their orders. Poor!

To the point: food was bland I ordered lasagna rolls and fiance ordered shrimp alfredo. Everything was just very devoid of any kind of seasoning. Also no drink menu at all which was kinda surprising for a bar based place. Waitress at the very least was nice and accommodating.

Stopped by Palatos for pizza this weekend. It was our first time there since it opened. We had the BLT Bruschetta dip which was excellent!! Also had the deep fried ravioli, they were ok, a little on the hot side i wasn't expecting them to have jalapeno in them. We also had a 12 pepperoni pizza and it was just ehhh ok, nothing to write home about. Our server was great, very attentive, refilled drinks, food came out pretty fast. Just really not impressed with the pizza. Kind of a disappointment from a pizza place.

Wow. My family and I just had a fabulous meal. We left stuffed and I still can't believe how good that BLT dip was. Very large and tasty pizzas. We will definitely be back.
