Papa Daddy's - Mercer

Good home cooked food. The ranch dressing tasted like it was made from scratch and was yummy. I had spaghetti w/ meatballs and it was okay but it’s hard to find any good spaghetti because everyone makes it different.The service was good but when we went to pay no one told us that you paid in another room. You couldn’t see it from where we were seated so there was some confusion because we just thought it was the kitchen. The waitress finally came over to the table and told us but she did take our credit card and ran it for us since we didn’t know. We aren’t from the town, so when they bring you the check they need to let you know where to pay. She sort of acted like it was inconvenient because she told us that since she was busy we could have waited a while before she noticed we had the card on top of the check. She was nice when she said it, but it was obvious that she felt like she didn’t have time to do it. We did tell her we would take it, that we just didn’t know we were supposed to. Other than that we enjoyed it.

Small-town dining at its finest. Grilled Chicken salad was exceptional.

Old home town cooking. If you leave hungry it's your own fault! As my grandmother used to say. It is true here as well. Good Christian atmosphere. God Bless

Stopped to get an order of onion rings and they were delicious.

We have been to Papa Daddy 's for dinner a couple times before and enjoyed our meals. Unfortunately, breakfast is a different story. There is only one server staffed for breakfast hours and it takes 10-15 minutes to get a menu and a cup of coffee. Our food was horrible. The Denver omelette had huge chunks of raw green bell pepper, and cold sliced lunch meat ham pieces. My "Papa Daddy 's platter was a disaster. I ordered my eggs over easy, one was over medium and the other egg was completely missing it 's yolk. The gravy tasted like flour paste, the cook obviously did not use any grease or butter in the gravy and there was no sausage in it. The biscuit was fresh. Now for the hash browns...I ordered extra crispy with onions. I got soggy hash browns with burnt onions. We will not return for breakfast.
