The chicken Wot was so tender and perfectly spiced. The Ethiopian platter offers a nice variety of flavors and textures and is so much fun to eat with the injera bread. I highly enjoyed it all and will be ordering again
Inexpensive and plentiful, well seasoned, delicious food with a really sweet owner
Decided to try this Ethiopian. Got the veggie platter. It was pretty good and it's the only Ethiopian in this neighborhood right now. The Shiro was the best but beets were good as well. They must have been out of Kale and potatoes but they did have cabbage and carrots.
Shiro is part of a ghost kitchen where several take-out/delivery-only restaurants share a large kitchen space. Pick up was easy; we drove up and got a text to come to the counter when our order was ready. When we got the food home, the chicken wot was flavorful, the veggie platter had a nice variety, and the injera that came with both was great. We also ordered the bre bre boneless wings; like the other chicken, the meat was good quality, but the tater tots that came with were probably cooked straight out of the freezer. Our first experience with Shiro was good. It may not be the absolute best Ethiopian food in Denver, but it 's the closest to us and a solid choice. We 'd definitely order again.
Best Ethiopian in Denver hands down! Every meal that I've tried is a large portion, super well prepared and pretty on the eyes, and makes you feel great even when you're full! I can't recommend enough!
