ONE big problem the truck stop it is in is under new owner and will start to charge for parking on 4/1/24 so the slow death of a good restaurant will start. I've seen this way to often. Upside locals really like this place and do a good job of keeping it full.
Trashy!!! Bad attitudes!!!! Waiting forever to get my order token. A was so rude when they took my order. And they are over
We were traveling to New Orleans and were ready for some home cooked southern food and Magnolia Restraurant hit the nail on the head! I had broasted fried pork chop lunch with black-eyed peas with okra. My husband had fried chicken with creamy potatoes with gravy and okra. Was large portions, reasonably priced, our waitress NW was super sweet, attentive, and charming. Food was great! Service friendly and great! We will note it as a regular place to stop.
It's a great Truck Stop restaurant that is open 24/7. Home cooking served anytime.
Limited menu has fried catfish and a Friday catfish special…it was not special! Catfish was overcooked, no lemons available, no cocktail sauce, only packaged tartar sauce. Hush puppies were BURNT, with black burn marks. Cole slaw was watery and tasteless. Only the baked potato I paid extra for was not overcooked…it was undercooked! What a disaster.
