Island Empanada Of Merrick

Long over due, review for these delicious empanadas that I tried from a food truck at the amityville park, went to a event slammed by the bay and they were there selling empanadas! The lines were so long and they kept making new empanadas, they weretrying to keep up with the demand of empanadas that everyone was ordering. Chicken/Shrimp/Carne empanadas we?re all tried andall of them were very tasty and fresh! Highly recommend visiting a physical location, if you can?t find the truck.

The first time I went here was good but it got worse each time. The lazy teenagers working the evening shift gave me churros without any sugar on them. The churros were cold and hard. I felt like I was eating cardboard and it made my stomach sick. Inaddition, their empanadas are way too expensive for their size and taste. I would not waste my time and money coming here again.I would advise you to go to their Lindenhurst branch instead of here.

First they got the order TOTALLY WRONG!! No sauce like I ordered, left out one shrimp empanada plantains were BURNT TO A CRISP !! Never Ever spend good money here !!!

Good empanadas but way too expensive. I couldn't believe 4 of them came out to like $16. Go to any hood and they're a dollar or two
