Mcalister's Deli - Merrillville

This baked potato was dry and it certainly wasn't worth $15! This place is most certainly way OVERPRICED. It's a one and done type of place.

I enjoy McAlisters fresh food and sweet tea. What I didn't care for was the customer service I received because my soup was missing from my order. I placed my order through the mobile app. I picked up my order and went to my car. Before pulling off from the rest, I checked my order. My soup was not in my bag. I went back into the restaurant with my mobile receipt loaded on my phone. I explained to the cashier my soup was missing. Another worker came from the back and stated she knows that the soup was placed in the bag because she bagged my order. I stated to her that in fact the soup was not in the bag. She proceeded to inform me that in the future, a missing item will not be replaced unless the full order is brought back into the restaurant. Her tone was indignant and not appreciated at all! I spent nearly $40 for 2 sandwiches, a sweet tea, and a bowl of soup!

Obviously the food is good! But every time I come here the front service is horrible! They need welcoming staff up there willing to be more kind. They literally act like they hate their job! Your job is to service others. I hate that this is the closest one to me.

Slow service. Only one person at the counter doing take out, drive through and inside orders. Good sandwiches, especially the Reuben and the club.
