Steak 'n Shake - Merrillville

Got a shake and burger for my first trip here inside. It didn't disappoint. Someone was cleaning up the tables as I was sitting so it ended up nice and clean. Nutella. Yup.

The changes made to the ordering system are great. Self serve kiosks make ordering very quick and convenient. My order was ready within minutes of entering it and was fantastic. The staff however were even more impressive. The cook on 1-24 was top notch. He was multitasking and owning the whole place. He deserves a raise probably. The management and ownership should be proud. A+

Things have changed at Steak and Shake. Gone are the servers and counter service. Now, you order at a kiosk and pick up when your number is called. Drinks are self-serve and gone are the real utensils and dishes. The food is still Steak and Shake, but it's not the same. I guess this is the sign of the times

A quick stop for a bite to eat as I was dropping my daughter off to her uncle and auntie's house. Haven't been to this location before, so it was new to me to have to order my food on the kiosk that they had at the front. Ordering was pretty simple, and food was done in quick timing. Everything was fresh.
