First time trying this Chinese. The person taking our order was very pleasant. We arrived to pick up our order at the time we were told to. The place was empty. Not one single customer We paid $47 for our order of honey chilli chicken, sweet and sour pork, special fried rice, chips and prawn crackers. We got home and dished up. The honey chilli chicken had hardly any honey and zero chilli. It was basically battered chicken with the tiniest hint of sauce at the bottom of the container. The sweet and sour pork was over cooked batter pork with the sauce on the side. The sauce was like water, tasted awful and had one piece of capsicum and one piece of onion in it. The chips were limp and soggy. The only dish that was ok was the rice and the prawn crackers. By far the worst Chinese we’ve ever had. I usually look forward to the left overs the next day but we didn’t even finish what was on our plates before it all went in the bin. Would give it zero stars but can’t do the one star goes for the pleasant enough service but most definitely not for the food. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$40–60

Last night we really felt like getting Chinese for dinner and our usual spot Grand Essence in Jindalee was closed over the holidays. So our second option was Seagrove Chinese restaurant who are usually good to where also closed. Our closest option was Merriwa Chinese restaurant so we decided to give them a go. We are used to having delicious Chinese from our regular so we were so excited to get Chinese. We ordered special fried rice, beef with oyster sauce, satay chicken, combination chow mein and just a steamed rice so spent $65 all together. When we opened the bag we realised the dishes where only 3/4 full and the sauce looked really thin and watery. We then proceeded to eat the dishes which had no flavour and tasted watery. They were without a doubt the worst take away and Chinese we've ever had which was so disappointing when you spend $65. I decided to call the restaurant and let them know what our feedback was on the cooking i spoke with the cook and she claimed that all the ingredients were fresh and that she uses cornflour so thats why the sauce was like that which makes absolutely no sense because cornflour is a thickener. I honestly just wanted to let them know how bad the food tasted. Would highly not recommend. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$60–80
