Anzio Landing Italian - Mesa

The meal was overpriced, and the quality was shockingly poor. The waitress brought a $39 bottle of wine and four glasses when my husband only ordered one glass for each of us, claiming it was a way to save. My husband had chosen this restaurant based on its strong reputation from years ago. We invited two other couples, and no one mentioned the food quality until a week later when I expressed my disappointment over my grilled chicken and vegetables, which were nearly tasteless. The other couples then admitted that their dishes were "awful" as well. I can't help but wonder if negative reviews of this place have been suppressed because it's owned by a Mesa councilor. It was quite an expensive and eye-opening lesson!
