Az Chimney Cakes - Mesa

I have been here a few times. On my last visit I made the mistake of getting their ice cream. The chimney part tastes great but their soft serve ice cream is extremely generic. It lacks flavor and creaminess. Skip the dodgy soft serve and try the gelato instead. I wanted to like it more. The price is steep for a chimney cake given it’s small size. In Prague they are huge by comparison.

Service is very polite and the location is nice inside with plenty of seating. The food is decent but nothing spectacular. If you are unable to commit to being at the shop for at least 20 mins, stop by another time. We ordered with nobody in the place and it took 15 mins to make a chimney cone, a dish of ice cream and a cookie. I worry for the wait times when they get a rush. The cone filling was good and the cone was good until i got to the middle where it was raw and inedible. If the place was more efficient or at least made the items correctly i would rate them better.

Very friendly staff, the custard was so delish! A must try for sure. The chocolate chip cookie was so mouth watering! I had three different flavors and all were incredible. You won’t regret it so GO!

We thoroughly enjoyed our desserts at AZ Chimney Cakes. The owner gave us a cute little history lesson on bavarian cream when we arrived too! It was a lovely experience.

I wanted something sweet and found my new favorite dessert place. I got the Lotus Biscoff cone. They make the cone fresh. The cone is warm with cinamon/sugar on it. Inside was vanilla Gelato and cookie butter, topped with a Biscoff cookie and crumbs.I talked to the owner, and she was very nice and welcoming. I'll be back to try another flavor!
