Tom's Bbq Chicago Style - Mesa

This location has permanently closed, and it's truly unfortunate to see it go. The food was outstanding, and the customer service was consistently excellent.

I’m sharing about the food. The goodies. This location I’ve been to only 3 times recently. Staying in the neighborhood for the summer…lol. First time (in many years), I went with a friend and got take out. For me, Italian Beef. One for now and one for later, so not wet. But with the goods for later. Second time, pork ribs. Third time, Brisket Sandwich. So, 3 times in 3 months. Each time the food has been fantastic. The Italian beef was one of the best I’ve had and I’ve had them in Chicago, and around town here regularly at Portillos and Luke’s. I like them both very much. Excellent. Pork ribs next time. When fresh they were great. A bit dry as leftovers. The brisket sandwich. 3rd time. OMG. Wow. Juicy. Smoky. FAT! I mean a fat sandwich. Not fatty. HUGE! I honestly couldn’t finish it in one sitting. The place is basic. Service was good. Typically get take out but man. Soooo good. The place is solid. Highly recommend.

I've driven past this restaurant for years, and I finally decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious. We ordered the fish and the loaded potato, and both were fantastic. I'm certain I'll be returning!

The brisket was incredibly dry! The mac and cheese lacked flavor, and the portion sizes were disappointing. I ordered a three-meat plate with double brisket, while my wife ordered a two-meat plate with one brisket, yet we received the same portion size. Overall, it was just okay. I won't be coming back here again.

The cold pulled pork was completely flavorless and lacked any sauce. It looked like a gray lump placed on a cold bun. Did they even grill the pork? It had no BBQ taste whatsoever. As for the mac and cheese, it seemed like boxed Velveeta with extra melted on top, diluted with water. The sauce tasted like something from a budget brand. Disgusting. I won't be returning. Food rating: 1/5.
