The Bistro Eat. Drink. Connect.

The Marriott Courtyard Bistro leaves much to be desired. The only reason to visit is if you're in the mood for an overpriced, bland meal. The drinks offered are also pricey and lacking in quality; they are comparable to those found at other upscale bars but fall short in taste. The selection of wines, liquors, and mixers is quite limited. Unfortunately, Marriott has really dropped the ball with their Bistros. I stay at Marriott properties frequently—almost every week—but their Courtyard Bistros are my absolute last choice for dining.

The restaurant is in very poor condition and requires numerous repairs. Although the staff are friendly, the establishment does not meet the standards I've come to expect from Marriott. It’s evident that there is minimal effort to maintain the rooms, as many items are in disrepair. Please see the pictures below for reference.

I spent 10 minutes waiting to pick up a pot pie at the front desk, only to get back to my room and discover there was no microwave where it was supposed to be. I tried to find a microwave downstairs, but there was none available. It was quite disappointing.

This is a fantastic place to stay if you're planning to visit the State Fair of Texas. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. Triana, Raquel, and the gentleman who runs the Bistro were particularly helpful.

Fresh cookies, a clean, modern room, and good food close by…what else can I say? The breakfast/dining area was a great place to post up to clear out my Inbox after traveling. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is very friendly and responsive. The fitness center is basic but sufficient. There is also a pool.
