Joe's Cafe Donuts King Cakes - Metairie

Our overall experience was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was absolutely perfect. The service was exceptional as well. Although the interior is a bit small, we were fortunate to get a great table. A local patron even took the time to share some interesting stories about the place, which had us both laughing and in tears. The waitress who served us was very attentive and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting the New Orleans area, especially near the airport. We will definitely be back! And how could I forget those donuts? Oh my goodness, they were absolutely delicious—super fresh and full of flavor. You have to try them! We loved them!

The omelet was pretty good but potatoes are my thing and their hashbrowns were horrible. They had a rubber like texture, and the only thing I could taste on them was oil, literally like rubber, this is not an exaggeration. I can not stress this enough, do get the hashbrowns.

This restaurant offers incredible value for the price. Their donuts are consistently delicious and fresh. They never let me down, and they always have a special, oversized treat that I feel compelled to try each time I visit. The last time I was there, I enjoyed a giant turnover.

While traveling back to Texas, we stumbled upon this little restaurant. It was quite busy, with most seats occupied. When we inquired about how long the wait would be for a fresh breakfast, the staff member looked around and curtly responded, “Um, can’t you tell? Do you want to order or not?” My husband chose to leave and walked to a convenience store across the street to get something to eat. My friend and I decided to try their glazed donuts, but they were nothing special. We don't plan on returning to this restaurant.

Solid donuts. Coffee wasn't too bad neither. Also, service was very friendly!
