Stadtwaldhaus Mettmann

There were 3 of us. We found the restaurant on google. It is nicely situated but it is surely packed during summer. The food and wine were to the top. We loved the atmosphere.

Great and large terrace. Nice service and food. But a bit sloooooowwww.

Everyone mourned to the old town forest house in Mettmann when he had to sneak after a long tradition. There were various rumors and stories about the reasons. Then the bureaucracy made problems and so was the beautiful house in Sleeping Beauty for years. On 14 June 2017, the town forest house was reopened after four years of interruption as a restaurant, café with a large beer garden. And it has become beautiful. Completely renovated. Interior beautiful wooden tables and a pleasant environment. It's Friday and we've reserved. That's good, because with time the place felt like watching. The service was very fast, maybe a bit too fast, because we hardly had a place we were asked for drinks. We have suggested that we have time and want to enjoy the evening in peace without hectic, then everything was fine. The map is clear and offers something for every taste. So we chose the stone mushroom Consommé with spring onions (EUR 5,90) and the Cocos Curry soup with chicken strips also on EUR 5,90. Both soups convinced. Yesterday spent a super nice evening with good friends in the town forest house. great location, really good eating and totally nice fellow workers who are really on zack. we will be coming back
