Zur Schwane - Metzingen

It was convenient for us to choose this restaurant during the stay at this hotel. The staff is very focused and friendly. We went with pasta with Chanterelles and Gam as with squash and eggplants. Both dishes were very tasteful and beautifully decorated. The place is very... accessible.

We were there for a bigger lunch. The food was excellent as usual. The fabric is very friendly and helpful. But all these costs.

Dinner with relatives living in the area and regular guests (and we are very disappointed by this visit). The table booking had been incorrectly detected, we sat with menus and stayed unattended over ten minutes when we managed to get a...wait on our table and order drinks. Same situation with food order and later beverage reordering. In no case did any waitress come to our table on her own initiative to ask if we wanted to order something else. And the restaurant was not so busy and there were enough staff. After working in luxury hosting management for a long time, I will not only be annoyed with bad service for the inconvenience it causes to Diners, but also for the lost sales opportunities for the business. Eating was fine, but rather subduing and it is very disappointing that in a restaurant that positions itself high, there were exactly two vegetarian dishes on the menu (not only I check, but there was a vegetarian in our party). Overall, this is a place that thinks very about itself (and reflects that in their prices), but does not provide it (big fish in a small pond syndrome).

Did see some reviews complaining about prices and food quality, happy I want anyway: Phantastic experience, amazingly attentive staff and great local food!

Nur ist halt die karte etwas klein und wenn dann bei gutem wetter nur noch das mezzo geöffnet hat ist es oft schwer was zu finden. die karte dürfte generell etwas grösser sein. personal gut geschult und durchweg freundlich.
