Sanborns - Mexico City

Sanborns casa de los azulejos an der madero avenue was our first official stop in Mexico City after we left our luggage in the hotel concierge. it was the first trip of my man to the df and I wanted him to fall in love with this historic place I just love and the young man made it! this place is always packed and we waited approx. 15 minutes on a table in the first floor kitchen room. not bad. they get the opportunity to sit on two other dining areas, but for the real azulejos experience stick on their weapons and wait for a table below. the architecture, the decoration, the walls, their signatures and the piano player make it an unforgettable lunch or dinner. a must see is the stairs that lead to the toilets and there will be a line for the bathroom also so prepared. we had the enchiladas suizas for which we should die. a super cold cerveza sol made my afternoon and dessert and coffee were a perfect end. for our second visit we took a table in the second floor and it was absolutely beautiful and great. with large wooden doors open wide and birds come in and out free time, plus chandelier and woodwork admirable. viva mexiko!

We really enjoy the service and quality of eating. the paella that I had was tasty and tasty, as the barbacoa de cerdo' we are very happy about the warm welcome in the restaurant. two waitresses who really needed time to explain and offered suggestions were magdalena (night layer) and pinklia (morging layer). both ladies made our visit to this restaurant very pleasant. very recommended restaurant and near our hotel.

Tuve una experiencia muy decepcionante en este restaurante, solo fui porque estaba lloviendo. El chocolate estaba bien, pero el pastel de tres leches era horrible: pequeño, con sabor a medicina y gelatinoso.

Beautiful relaxed restaurant. made to feel welcome, although we don't speak much Spanish the waiters were super nice .. we had here the most morning breakfast, as it was more beautiful than the hotel restuarant
