Feedback gevenThis is a real pleasure. As different as most restaurants in this area. It is traditional, rural and entertaining. Let me be clear: this is not Cordon bleu, but original and rustic. A 20-30 seat restaurant, a small menu, but so refreshing. While the main course gently turns on a spit in front of a huge fireplace, you get to choose from a starter, then another before the main course comes from the fireplace. Wine is selected from its own stock at lower prices than you can imagine. The waitress was lovely and the puddings and coffee were in place. Here is the catch: open only on Saturday night, Sunday lunch and bank holidays. The exception is if you are a big party, you could have a private agreement. Menu change seasonal. We chose Quail, Escargot, Mutton Duckling, followed by home made pears in red wine and profiterole, a red and a white from the property (both great) €106 for three. Brilliant.
We have visited Lupian almost every year in the last 16 years. We try to find new restaurants to visit every year, but find it hard as most cook / supply the same food, especially oysters and shells, raw or cooked. We went to TripAdvisor and found this fantastic Auberge. Admittedly, it was not easy to find, but please be persistent after the signs and you will not be disappointed. (You could advertise on the main road that it is an aurberg, but that would attract tourists, perhaps not! The location, building, dining room, weapon and food completely amazing. Fortunately, we went on a mission to find it 10 days in advance to book our table for lunch. There is only one meeting and the restaurant has been fully booked, with mainly local French, who welcomes the owners and employees with the traditional 3 kisses of this area. Limited menu as usual for an authentic aurberge, local house boiled products. Four course menu, 30 euros each, two bottles of their delicious wine from their own vineyards and 1 coffee = 72,50euros. Amazing value! Have a table booked to our friends for their 50. To take wedding day next month. My mouth is pouring! Thanks Team Benau.
Evening music "corleone blues" and well presented and affordable dishes .bon this domain is merited it is hidden but after live the countryside, music, small dishes and good wines count 50 € for 2.

You want to flee the tourist restaurants, imagine the life of the estate of the sieur de latude, historical lord of this building of the xvi, humer poultry and roasted cans at the fireplace fire of the room and appreciate the conviviality of the guests, don't hesitate. very hearty meals, family cuisine, very reasonable prices and to arosate all this, the wines raised by the owners.
