Mondrian South Beach Miami

I don't know what has happened in the past couple of years but wow. I celebrated my bday here in 2021 and it was amazing. Just tried coming here for a 3 night stay in July and it was absolutely terrible. I had no idea, wish I had read the reviews before coming back! Only stayed a night and then went somewhere else. Only reason we even stayed is because it took forever to get into a cleanish room and it would waste more of the day trying to go somewhere else. I would never stay here again. First of all, we had to change rooms 3 times upon arrival. First room smelt of mold, mold in the bathroom, on the curtains, dirty toilet, thick layer of dust everywhere. 2nd room, no mold smell but mold on the curtains shower, super dirty and dusty and pee on the toilet seat. Door was broken. 3rd room was acceptable clean, so we took it. Everything just looks soooo old and dirty everywhere though. This hotel has not been taken care of in the slightest, besides the pool area. The balcony was so close to the next room with no privacy divider, that we literally felt like we were sitting all together with the next room. So awkward that we didn't even get to enjoy going out there. The bed is so uncomfortable I woke up in pain every hour. The pool was a trashy nightmare, I'm not even going to go in to detail but my safety was put at risk by some staff members. We seriously couldn't wait to get out of this place!!

Amazing hotel and beautiful views but there was a loose tile in the bathroom and there was confusion with the staff about when the pool opened. The hotel was booked through an agency and I was not informed by them or the agency until I arrived I had a temporary charge and that I couldn’t use cash for that charge. That was a little embarrassing.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the door opener who was clearly drugged with a weed scent surrounding him (we arrived at around 2am . We had already paid for the hotel online but when we arrived we were charged again for some hidden fees, BEWARE that they charge $51 fees each day you stay and it is NOT optional; they also charge $200 deposit each day you stay so bring extra credit cards. The morning the barista is very rude, I asked her if this where I get the complementary coffee that the hotel offers she ignored me the first time so I asked again then she yelled at me “NO!” I asked where I could get the coffee and she yelled “ I DONT KNOW, FIGURE IT YOURSELF!” I also never got a chance to swim in the pool because the pool opened late and close early, they don’t have a fixed schedule, their opening and closing hours changed during my stay here (the employees weren’t even certain about the hours. I recommend you find a different hotel, a taxi driver told me that there are cheaper hotel options near the beach, I didn’t know since I’m not from this area.

Great service. Front desk and concierge couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome, they went above and beyond. Pool was wonderful. Breakfast was expensive but worth it.

The rooms were filthy and not clean at all, and the pool aera was also dirty and the outdoor seating was also a mess. The receptionist at the front was very rude and uncooperative with me and my family and that also goes with the staff as well. We were supposed to get a refund for our security deposit, which we never did receive. We will not be returning back to this hotel and we will be making sure not to recommend this hotel to any of our friends or family.
