I visited for lunch on a weekday, and the atmosphere was peaceful and perfect for enjoying a meal. The portions are generous, and it’s rare to find a Thai restaurant where you actually sweat when you order something "Thai hot." I highly recommend the Tom Kha at Thai hot spice level!
In the past two months, my daughter and I have dined at the Thai Café at least twice a week. It's a bit pricey, but my daughter really enjoys it. However, tonight we ordered two JB Rolls along with other dishes, and the rolls tasted quite off—the rice was undercooked and had an unpleasant texture. I informed the waitress, who communicated the issue to the cook, who may be the owner. Unfortunately, he didn't offer any apologies, and we still received the full price on the rolls. When I asked the waitress about a discount for these subpar rolls, she told us to wait, and we waited a long time. Ultimately, the new bill came with only a $3 discount on our $55 total—NEVER AGAIN!
This is honestly a charming little café. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I made it a point to try almost everything they offered. They have some beautiful lunch specials if you're looking to save a little, and they also offer higher-priced meals if that's what you prefer!
Very good Thai and Sushi restaurant in Miami Lake's struggling Main Street shopping center. Good service. Fair prices. Delicious and large Thai and Japanese menu
My friend and I were looking for somewhere in Miami Lakes with good sushi, and ended up deciding to try Thai Cafe. Despite it being a Thai restaurant, they had sushi on their menu so we gave them a try. We ordered 4 rolls Thai Cafe Roll, Dragons Roll which were both delicious. The Beauty and the Beast Roll which was half tuna, half eel and was very refreshing. Then we ordered the Volcano Roll which was surprisingly amazing! It's a mixed seafood Roll with masago and spicy mayo, and came with steaming hot seafood on top. I highly recommend trying them out for sushi if you're in the area. (We didn't eat any of their Thai dishes so I can't comment on those). Prices were reasonable too!
