The dining room was dimly lit, but they had a neat little lamp that made it easy to read the menu. There was a DJ playing music, which was decent, though I found it a bit too loud—almost like being in a club. But I suppose that’s just the Miami vibe!
When we moved to the dining room for dinner, everything was outstanding. Tomás was amazing; he was always right there when we needed anything. We were in Yahaira's section, and she provided some lovely recommendations. It was such a wonderful meal with a fantastic team! There was also a gentleman who carved our meal at the table; he did a great job as well, but unfortunately, we didn't catch his name.
Toro Toro is a solid restaurant with a focus on red meat, offering an Argentinean-inspired menu. For appetizers, we tried the grilled octopus and the guacamole chilindron, which was guacamole mixed with small bits of pork belly and fried plantain chips. Both were quite tasty. For our main dish, we shared the Toro Toro Skewer—essentially the restaurant's interpretation of a parrillada, or mixed grill, although there were no actual skewers involved. We also ordered a side of truffle fries, which were enjoyable and not overly infused with truffle flavor, as well as fried Brussels sprouts, which I found to be excessively rich, sweet, and salty. The food was good, but I've had more flavorful Argentinean cuisine elsewhere for a lower price. When it comes to steak, there are higher-end steakhouses where I’ve enjoyed better meals, again at a lower cost. On a positive note, the service was outstanding throughout the evening, with excellent attention from our server and the bus staff. Additionally, the two managers on duty checked in on us at least three times, which was appreciated and not something you often encounter, especially in Miami.
Beautiful ambiance w/ excellent wings and truffle fries! A friend and I stayed here for about 4 days and we ate at Toro Toro every single day lol Servers were nice too!
Breakfast was delicious and hot. Service was attentive and polite. A bit on the pricey side but this is Miami. Did not try the brunch the day before. $100 a person just did not seem worth it. But breakfast the next morning was priced better and good! A lively atmosphere, so if you want quiet this may not be the hotel for you.
