Coopertown - Miami

We had a blast! Our tour guide, Arturo, made the trip fun, making sure to drift the boat a little on some higher speed turns, nothing wild, but enough to make it fun. We did manage to see a couple of alligators which was exciting, and even recognized one of the guys working there from TV. He was very pleasant and answered my wife's questions about the boat ride even though he seemed busy. If I had to critique anything, the lady working the ticket booth was over her job and a bit quick with the customers but I don't blame her. The line was long and people were complaining and some were making a scene needlessly about the mask requirement, but she was quick and efficient. Definitely recommend this place, and will likely try to drag my whole family down for a private tour at some point!

We had a ton of fun! Doug was our chauffeur guide and he was absolutely fabulous! He shared with us a ton of interesting facts, with a healthy doze of laughs in between. We especially enjoyed the airboat drifts from the rear seat and were happy to observe 5 alligators in the wild up close. We also had a chance to interact with other staff at the compound (Carlos! and they were all extremely helpful and pleasant to talk to. Another big highlight for us was being able to come close to the huge gator that was basking in the sun right beside the dock. And the chance to pet/hold the small gator (aka Gucci . Overall a very pleasant experience. Couldn’t have asked for better!

If you actually want to learn about the amazing ecosystem which is the Everglades, take this tour. If you just want to hurry up and see captive alligators then don’t. Our tour operator Sam was so great. You can tell he really cares about preservation and educating people on how humans can be kind to the Everglades. He answered all our kids questions (there were a lot). We stopped along the way to discuss all kinds of species and yes, we saw three alligators enjoying the sun!

Super fun experience! Not only were tours reasonably priced, but it was super enjoyable. Our tour guide was knowledgeable about local flora fauna and really funny. On our trip out we were able to see two gators! The restaurant has a 5 for $25 bucket deal (beer or seltzers) and you’re able to enjoy them on your airboat ride too. The animal show is interesting to watch once you’re back and you’re able to see more wildlife up close!

Had a blast! Great tour guide, awesome show with a boa constrictor, and cool gift shop. Great for locals and tourists alike. We saw 2 or 3 gators in the water but my favorite part was when we went fast in the boat.
