Ortanique on the Mile - Miami

Although it is a drive for us (45 mins) we keep coming back. Delicious, well prepared, highly inventive cuisine. You won't see this menu anywhere else in Miami. We sent out of towners there all the time, with rave reviews from them afterward.

My husband and I, being so tired of the same ol ' restaurants decided to try something new. For the last few years, we have been reviewing different restaurants, which make it to our jar and on the weekends, we pick from such and make it out to the chosen one . Months ago, I placed ORTANIQUE as my choice... it was picked out tonight. We made it to the restaurant, where we had a 30 minute wait (with reservations) after a glass of wine at the bar, and a LONG wait, we were finally seated (at one of the 9 available tables since we walked in). The server was inaudible therefore reading lips was a must. We waited 45 minutes for out appetizers (which was nothing to write home about) soon thereafter, our entrees arrived... what a disappointment. The least we thought would be that the managers (whom had been visiting EVERY table around us) would apologize for the delay and make us feel... a little more at ease... Needless to say, we walked out of there, wondering why that restaurant ever made it to our list and deciding we would never be back. Service 0 Food 2 Pricing 4 Overall rating (scale of 1 10) 3

Splendid Evening. I had been there other times and every time I had gone the food has been exquisite and the atmosphere is enchanting. When asked, they cater your evening to celebrate any small event. Delightful for All your senses.

The food was excellent and the staff was very attentive. No cork fee that was nice, as we could bring our own wine to enjoy with the meal.

The seafood was excellent, the drink menu had some traditional cocktails and some newer supplements, and everything was great. Would definitely recommend coming here for a date.
