The Forge Tearooms - Mid Suffolk

Love it here, we come at least once a month, we've had breakfast baps, lunches, scones, coffee cake and a fair few ice creams! Food is always delicious. Staff are always polite and service is good. They do get very busy which can mean a bit of a wait sometimes, but it's rare we've had to wait too long, and you only have to look around to see why you're waiting so it's not a big deal.

We visited because there are hardstand pathways for wheelchair access very necessary for two visitors. The cafe is good and serves lovely drinks, cakes and excellent lunches. The compost loos are a bit daunting but there are disabled facilities in the cafe which was helpful.

Visited here twice in a week because it was such hood food and the first time we didnt do the walk. Staff are really good and the food is delicious and well priced. Great walks nearby too.

Opening times are 10am now on a Saturday which seems a little late for early cyclist, runners, walkers who 'd like refreshments. According to one of the many 'instruction ' boards closing times may change ad hoc depending on the weather so don 't rely on a cup of tea on a rainy afternoon. Service is very slow especially when park run is on. Staff are not the most welcoming and friendly people. Perhaps a little customer service training would be helpful. Quality of food and drinks is very good though.

After lovely walk with our dog in the grounds we always enjoy our lunches here, delicious coffee and food served by friendly staff.
