Despite having booked a table for six, our table was not ready, and when the waiters scrambled to make room for us, they did this in a way which made us feel unwelcome. The food was in fact tasty, but the portion sizes varied a great deal from one person to the next. There was no information about the wines served although they were ones offered as matching the menu. I am sure that the waiters were simply new, untrained, but this was not pointed out to us. Had we known, then we may have been more forgiving...
Nice location. But... We were a larger family wanting to go out and was asked to decide what we wanted to eat 5 days prior to our arrival. We instead went for brunch which was cheap, delayed food. Staff didn't have any of the drinks we wanted, so we had to settle for whatever they had in their fridge. Staff couldn't make a decent cup of coffee I asked for a cortado but got a café latte in a small cup... Table next to us found plastic in their food. Not coming back.
My company was for dinner with people from Italy. We all thought it was super good food and a friendly and professional service, special thanks to Fie. The wine was very good and since they were guests from a wine country they must be called connoisseurs The food was plentiful and super fresh, nice atmosphere both in the restaurant and in the toilet, no noise from the kitchen even though it is open to. That in is expensive end of the scale, but you also get something for your money.
When I visited Mast last time in May on a business trip, the service was really slow, but this time as our ship was moored just outside I did dare to try again, now privately with family. It didn’t start well (except for a warm welcome, a good table and seriousness about checking corona pass . First dish arrived only 50 minutes after ordering – even though it was a fixed menu. After that, service, speed and attention improved considerable, and we left quite happy – though sat back 2.500 kr. for four adults. We all had the four course menu, which was all fish (well, not the dessert. It was all delicious: a fine, cold smoked salmon, a tasty lobster bisque and for the main course a well prepared cod. Dessert was fruit soup, I think. Tasted much better than it might sound. It could have been five stars – had it not been for the slow start and the fact that we had to pay for water. I find it naughty, that they charge you for tap water, while you are also buying several bottles of wine.
By 'accident ' we found this restaurant with a view over the harbour and toward the two bridges linking Funen and Jutland. We enjoyed sitting outside Limited menu but still fine choices. We had 'sort of star shooter ' dish inspried by the traditional Starshooter dish with fried and steamed fillet of plaice on a piece of toasted bread with a cold sauce. It was freshly made and rather good but too much for us to eat. Service was kind and the price was as usual too high but at least here tyhe food was fine!
