Wah Fu Chinese - Middleburg Heights

We have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years and loved their food but since Covid their food has really gone down hill. I am not sure if it the cook or the quality of their ingredients. Fried rice recipe has changed and they now add frozen vegetables. The texture of the chicken is not appetizing. Very sad to say we will have to go elsewhere going forward.

Our Family has been eating Wah Fu foods for a long time . We used to sit down and eat in , and over the years opted for take out. Had an instance of the register girl who was on the phone at check out , I paid our bill for our takeout order , she was on the phone , I waited for my change of 10.62 , she finally hung up the phone and took 10.00 dollars out of my hand and asked for the change , I said I paid you already , we argued a little , and I left mad. Called the city prosecutor, they called Wash Fu’s , wash Fu called us said there was a mistake and told us to come get our money . My family ordered take out today Aug 2, 2024, my daughter ordered on the phone like she has over the years , they went to pick up our order , they brought it home and the egg Fu young was shrimp . No one in our family eats shrimp ! So we called them back , and the register girl I had words with years ago , said you daughter lies ! I beg your pardon my daughter doesn’t lie ! . I can’t believe she still there making mistakes and care only about the money . Maybe she doesn’t realize that this is America , the Customer js always right ! Anyway the food may have declined some over the years , but with different cooks it may be the culprit. I don’t know maybe it’s time for our family to try different Chinese restaurants . Even after picking up our order she told my wife your daughter still lied . She no longer will eat Wah Fu ‘s! p.s. To the owner , I’m sorry to give you a lower than expected review , but that Lady at the Register isn’t doing much good for your business . I’m also not recommending, any of you food at this time .

We have been going to Wah Fu’s FOREVER. I don’t know what happened, but in the last year the food has changed…and not for the better either. The eggrolls have a fairly noticeable taste of cinnamon and I don’t know what else was in them, but they weren’t good. Other menu items have changed as well. Not for the better. Even the shrimp chips have been stale almost every time we get them. This isn’t a hard thing to make. Takes about a minute, if that, to fry them up. I’m not sure why someone would buy a successful business and then change the recipes that people who have been going to Wah Fu’s for as long as we have loved and would surely notice. We work hard for our money and would rather pay a little more for better quality than eat garbage. As sad as it is, we won’t be back.

Obviously under new management as the food is not nearly as good as it used to be. Fried rice was really sticky and had no egg or pork in it. Sweet and sour chicken sauce had no flavor and when we asked the owner if it was different he said no. We will not be back.
