The Arcadian - Middlebury

One of our favorite places in the Middlebury area. They use local materials from the best farms. This is not a typical neighborhood Italian restaurant.

Once again all food and wine was delicious. The black ink seafood pasta was wxceptional. Superb Ceasar salad. Burrayta pasta had a slight spice and extremely tasty. Gnnoci in tomora sauce, chard with delicious beets.

A local treasure! During COVID-19, they were one of the first restaurants to pivot to delivery (they now only do pick-up and limited patio dining). Fresh pasta was a life saver when I returned to Midd for a relaxing summer.during the pandemic. They also offer to-go place-in-your-freezer-bake them-later cinnamon buns, scones, and cookies. Always something tasty on their rotating specials menu . Regular-menu spaghetti pomodoro is great! Loved their beet salad--not sure why it went away?!? They sell their Caesar salad and fresh pasta at the Midd COOP--nice when you just want to grab and go. Wish that they served pasta with their chicken Parmesan special--otherwise just a big chunk of breaded chicken, when their other menu items show such finesse, this was a gaffe.

I have been doing the to go menu. Ordering and payment is quick and easy. Food comes out hot and flavorful. Staff are kind, helpful, and always have a smile. Highly recommend the food and the patio is now open for reservations....what could be better.
