While they previously had a dedicated vegan menu, they have since reduced their menu post-Covid. However, they still offer a variety of delicious vegan sushi rolls and tofu appetizers. The veggie rolls are particularly inventive, especially those made with sweet potato tempura. The atmosphere is fantastic, and my non-vegan friends also enjoy dining here.
I ordered the Mario vegan sushi and it was amazing. It was my first time trying sushi and it was delicious, with a generous portion size. The service was excellent, with our waitress Kamber being very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend trying the cherry blossom green tea if you enjoy tea, it pairs well with the sushi. Additionally, I appreciated that they use reusable boxes for leftovers.
I really enjoy Maru for vegetarians and vegans. The menu offers a few choices. I chose the bow and the Edamame. The Edamame didn't stand out to me. The sheet roll had good flavor, but it was very soft and fell apart easily when I opened the container. One order was filling and I would definitely order from here again. The prices were also very reasonable, $10 for the roll and $4 for the Edamame. It's definitely one of the top options in the area. Takeout is also an option.
The vegan menu is listed on request, vegetarian options on the menu. That's very good! We also love the roasted tofu! Also a great place to go with non-veg friends... Your sushi is also amazing!
