Ellis Couty Barbecue - Midlothian

Being from Kansas City I love good bbq and this is some of the best of have had from anywhere I traveled. The bride was tender and the ribs were big and juicy fall from the bone! I ordered the 3 meat plate and the portions were definitely Texas size. These were the hands down the best place we ate during our trip.

That was a nice little stop. We visited the city and searched for a local barbecue area. The fried pickles were excellent! Thin and crispy. The meat was cooked for perfection. Absolutely back!

What can I say? HANDY DOWN THE BEST CHICKEN FRIEDEN STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD!!! Did not even need a knife to cut it, my fork has just good. Your appetizers were just as amazing. We go through the city and get back!! P.S. seems like they're really patriotic. Have fun.

My wife and I were here for the first time. We sat pretty fast and asked what we wanted to drink and whether we were ready to order. We gave the waitress our drinks requests and told her we were not ready. It took about 15 minutes until she came back to us as several customers left at the same time. I ordered the ribs, Brisket, Mac n cheese and perpetrators. The meats were dry without the delicious BBQ sauce and the sides were really good. My wife had the chicken and loaded potatoes she said was good. The staff was very nice and friendly, but they seemed understated and overwhelmed. I really appreciate seeing the whole hometown sign, especially Chris Kyle support. We will return here to try different dishes.

Great food. I normally get the sliced brisket. This time got their shredded beef quesadillas. Best I've ever had. Good beer selection as well.
