Buca di Beppo - Midvale

Customer service was lacking. We had a large group of 20. There were many empty areas on the restaurant, yet the staff placed our party in the one room with a broken air conditioner! It was so hot we were miserable. It would have been easy to find room for us somewhere else in the restaurant! Food was mediocre.

This was our first time here and it will be our last. Where to start... First it took 25 minutes to even be recognized that we were at a table by the waiter. Second it took an additional 20 minutes to get water. Third the restaurant was so cold that the kids were crying and shivering like they were outside without coats on a blizzardy day. Fourth the waiter took our order 45 minutes after arriving. There were a number of things on the menu that we could not order because it was not in Utah and they just print menus for the entire company and location but Utah wouldn 't allow for some items. Finally after the 4th item of being told no asked what we could order waiter got frustrated and said whatever you want and walked away. Came back 15 minutes later and we ordered what we could or was allowed. Food came out quicker about 15 minutes after order. However, it was so sweet you couldn 't eat it. Fifth we never saw the waiter until it was time for the check never received refills on water or soda and one drink came after dinner at the time we got the check. Sixth waiter said nothing to us but handed the check and said I added gratuity to the check already. and walked away. We talked to the manager they removed the gratuity as that is not their standard practice. Overall terrible experience, too bad as it was Mother 's Day and wanted to try something new and fun. Will never return. Also other tables around us were complaining about the cold temperature excuse was the building had old bones.

Overall great experience. Great staff, wonderful environment, prompt service.

We chose the restaurant on vacation because it was nearby. We had visited another one in the past. This one was clean, campy and smelled delicious from the parking lot. The food was delicious. It came out a little too fast which was not a problem. The value for the quality and quantity was outstanding. We will definitely look for others.

Our server Amanda was just amazing! Loved the food .
