I had already read that the portioned miniscule were, so ordered several dishes for the collection. the food quality is nothing like me...everyone had before, lower than average and - as expected - the portions are a sweat. the decoration of the restaurant was impeccable, but even road access was a nightmare (as they repair the pavement). will never visit / order again!
As a Englishman who has been living in Mexico City for decades, it is a real Indian restaurant to visit, a real pleasure. my wife and I have been enthusiastic patrons of tandoor for many years. I recommend it without delay. they have also opened in the condesa, is a good news, although we have remained faithful to the restaurant on the corer of copernico and leibnitz.
For the 2.5 years I’ve lived in Mexico, Tandoor has been one of my favorite restaurants. While most of my meals have been for take out, I’ve dined here a few times with friends. My husband and I recently dined with friends and they enjoyed...the food. Some of our favorite dishes are: aloo samosas, naan, butter chicken, saag paneer (spinach and cheese), and lamb vindaloo. The chai tea is also on point. My kids enjoyed the samosas, naan, and butter chicken! The owners are kind and the service is great. I will miss this place!
Ordered delivery thru Rappi App which we frequently do, looked up opinions and decided to order lunch for 3, had the Chicken Tikka Massala, Naan and Lentil Raita plus sauces. We were lookin forward to our lunch but when it arrived we were shocked! The...portions were miniscule at best, 3 teaspoons (literally) of chicken in a watery paprika sauce, 1/4 cup of tasteless rice and maybe a tablespoon of overcooked vegetables! It was all horrible! Do not waste your money, we paid $590 MX which is not a small amount just for lunch which was deinitely NOT worth it. So many good restaurants in town there is no need to give this one one peso. We will be complaining to Rappi so they know what they're doing.
Food quality is not so good. do not smell up to the standard of genuine Indian food. lamb was hard and did not feel like marinated meat, byriani was not good, and rasmalai was very strong taste of cardamom. I love Indian eating and very used to the seasoned, but I didn't really enjoy it.
