What once has been a good BBQ-restaurant became a disaster. I felt as they didn't expect anybody for dinner. Never go back !
Never again ! My visit was due to former experiences from friends who went to visit there and had good dinner and food. Maybe, some year's ago. We had bad food, bad service, we were there almost alone with a dutch super noicy family that thought there were the owners of the restaurant. Never, never, never again !
Situated about 500m south of junction 213 of the motorway than runs from Malaga towards Marbella it is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. Inside there is a choice of a charming patio or a very dark and cool restaurant in which to eat. Pedro the manager is charming with a good sense of humour and although we spoke Spanish all the way through lunch after the other tables had left he changed to perfectly good English which he says he speaks when I want to . The Menu del Dia at €16 is astoundingly good value. I started with an enormous plate of Carpaccio and my companions with an equally large plate of jumbo prawns and salad. We all then chose steak, perfectly cooked on the barbecue. Afterwards, only my wife had room for pudding and chose a delicious chocolate mousse. Pedro brought us a complementary decanter of some liquor which was delicious. The atmosphere was unhurried but Pedro was always there as soon as he could see that you wanted anything. The wine was superb but it was my birthday and I was being treated to it. Really, a first class meal at a second class price (on the whole in Andalusia don 't bother with third class).
Enjoyed a very good three-course meal mid week. The restaurant caters more for locals than tourists, and has seating both indoors and outdoors. We sat outside amongst Spanish families and chose from the €16 menu which had plenty of choice for the three courses. However, you are charged extra for the bread buns and 10% tax is then added so €16 then becomes €20. However, it was a good meal, in pleasant surroundings and still good value at that price.
