This is a family run place where they lavish attention on guests. There were clearly a lot of locals, and it's a bit off the beaten path, so not many tourists. They have only one English language menu, a sign that they're not really a tourist spot, but that was just fine. We actually ended up letting the guy to runs the place choose for us. He had lots of advice and really delivered on his promises. All kinds of lovely seafood, very simply and flavourfully prepared. A real find!
We arrived at around 19:30 and were the first people to visit that evening, but it soon got a little busier. The layout of the restaurant is lovely and we knew it was the place for us once we saw the wood fire pizza oven. We were given complimentary, and delicious, warmed bread dough with oil and breadsticks. Our mains quickly arrived and our waitress was attentive throughout the evening. I had two glass bottles of Coke Zero with a gorgeous mozzarella and basil pizza which came to just £14. My partner had two glasses of white wine, a porcini risotto, a chocolate tort and a cappuccino which came to just £25, you would expect to pay triple that in central Milan so this restaurant really is an absolute gem. Staff were ever so friendly despite us only being able to speak basic Italian and them not speaking much English either, there were never any communication issues. We spent over three hours there without even realising the time had flown so much, all in all an absolutely lovely evening. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone whatever your culinary taste, there are plenty of options.
Environment collected, affectionate and familiar. excellent quality of raw materials at the right price. beautiful veranda overlooking a pedestrian square. We've been dating for years and we're coming back with pleasure.
Cozy place, great food, as always, warm welcome, for me is like being in family
