Karne - Milano

After a long, hot day travelling from the North East of England, the hotel receptionist recommended this restaurant close by it was already 9.30pm, and I was starving! I especially enjoyed the Libero draught beer (and quickly ordered a second! , and the pasta and salad dishes were just fine. Not sure I would seek this restaurant out, if I had more time, but certainly a good port in a storm.

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. They eat there. The food is organic and non-gmo. The menu was extensive. They offered vegetarian as well as steak and chicken. Beer and wine was available. The staff was friendly. We did not feel rushed when we lingered over dinner. They stay open late even if there are no customers.

Nice and fancy, with a very long menu of meat options but I couldn 't find there the uncommon beef cuts advertised writ large on the wall dozens of pizzas, each available with four kinds of dough, appetizers and desserts with long winded descriptions highlighting their various merits, and so on. In the end, our pizzas proved to have wasted prime topping ingredients on top of thin, dull, basically cooked dough as you would expect from any inexperienced pizzaiolo down the street. Desserts, listed in a separate menu including gorgeous pictures, rapt descriptions and the recipes to make them at home (serves six) were nicely shaped and embellished on the plate but syrupy sweet and less tasty than, again, obviously good ingredients would imply. Service was mildly annoying. At a table of 12 we ordered three calzone with different fillings. One of two waiters had no idea which of the three he was bringing, and dropped it by a patron who had ordered another. This means at least two of us got a different dish than they ordered. We were offered desserts three times by different waiters, then coffee three times. It took them three trips to bring five cups of coffee mostly resembling those we had ordered. Maybe next time I 'll try grilled meat instead, which is supposed to be their forte. Luckily enough, the bill turned out to be more reasonable than we expected.

Great service, gothic cuisine and beautiful portions. at lunch offers a unique dish menu to very interesting euro!

Good evening to all, I found myself great! beautiful location! very good cuisine and especially great service, especially the waiter, called peppe, very elegant, kind, nice and very good to recommend what to drink and eat! He's got my gooses, really good!
