Le Refuge - Milano

Food. Exceptional preparation. Flavorful. Overall delish service. Warm and gracious ambiance The first night: we ate lite. Milan was a workout that day, so we ate close to home and were very tired. That was to our fortune My wife had a lovely mixed salad that she made me eat, because I wasn't getting enough greens. I had Guazzetto di calamari , ciuffi e gamberi con crostini Squid stew , tufts and prawns with croutons WONDERFUL! Squid was tender, sauce delicious with a touch of sweet and spice We'll done! I can't remember what she had for second plate, but I had the Risotto with beet juice don't worry, it accentuates, not overwhelm) and a swirl of cream I think, not on the old internet menus) Wonderful! Service was gracious Expert. They tried to meet every need. There was no energy or room for dessert. So we passed. Since we behaved, they brought us Muscato and macaroons at the end. The whole evening felt like we were guests and make no mistake. They were busy! Second night: Side salad, a salad with pear and warm Brie with greens, the same risotto as the first night, good, but it was missing the cream, another side salad. A cannellini bean salad pretty good, not my favorite bean) Then my Yellow ravioli with speck and saffron came. Wonderful Main was 2 orders of the Steak with a balsamic sauce. Not what they expected and they Loved it!!!! My wife and I shared a the filet with Gorgonzola. !!!!!! We should have ordered another with palate for the sauce mop up. So good. We skipped dessert again dumb) because there was a highly rated gelato place nearby. Mistake) They brought us Muskato and Macaroons again! We Love This Refuge. Will you adopt us?

Piatti normali di una trattoria, porzioni molto piccoli rispetto al prezzo...

Pizza al tegamino molto buona, forse un po' piccola. Ristorante molto accogliente e personale molto gentile.

Mi sono fermato qualche volta per un pranzo di lavoro....la pizza al tegamino è buonissima e si sentono gli ingredienti di qualità. Molto buoni anche i piatti ed i prezzi sono assolutamente abbordabili. Da non tralasciare la gentilezza del personale.

The atmosphere was amazing with jazzy versions of popular songs. The service was fast, helpful and very kind. The food was delicious we tried pasta with mushrooms and beef fillet all were absolutely delicious! I would recommend to a friend for sure!
