The Great Wok - Mile House

This restaurant offers fantastic Western Chinese cuisine and exceptional service. Although the hotel housing this restaurant may seem uninviting at first, dining here is an experience you definitely shouldn't pass up! The food is prepared fresh on-site, and the homemade sweet and sour sauce is bursting with flavor. Our server, Michele, welcomed us warmly as soon as we walked in. Despite managing at least six tables, she was attentive and never overlooked a detail. If you're a fan of Chinese food, this is the place to be!

We enjoyed the buffet, which featured a traditional selection of Westernized Chinese dishes. For dessert, we had a delicious chocolate lava cake paired with mango ice cream—so good! The service was excellent and very friendly. I highly recommend this place!

I arrived half an hour before closing and was told we couldn't dine in, so we had to order takeout instead. When I asked about one of the dishes, they couldn't provide any details about its ingredients. The food was average at best. The ginger beef? I couldn't even identify any actual beef; it was all deep-fried in a hard, greasy batter. I definitely won’t be returning. Overall, not impressed.

During our visit to 100 Mile House, had a craving for Asian food but should have known better about ordering in a small-town like 100 Mile House. There probably isn't to many authentic Asian restaurants around. Staff was friendly, restaurant was spacious, clean and bright. The food is western Asian. Not authentic Asian. I ordered shrimp fried rice. The fried rice tasted a bit off. Other dish was chicken n broccoli. That dish was actually good. Chicken was moist and broccoli seems fresh. Still enjoyed my dinner.

Ordered take out. Egg rolls and ginger beef were awesome, Was not a fan of the chow mein or rice. Vegetables with beef were ok. I guess I am used to authentic Chinese food from the coast. Service was friendly and prompt.
