The Traveller's Inn - Milford

This charming pub in Milford is a true hidden gem with delicious food and excellent pints. The staff are all very friendly, and the owner Michael is a true gentleman. The apartments above the pub are modern and lovely, but be sure to book ahead as it can get busy, especially during live music nights. This was my third visit and I have never been disappointed.

Saturday 19.08.23 hadn't been in this place for years but have to say we were not disappointed, food was perfect. I tried the Seafood Chowder starter along with chips, (the homemade chips were the best chips i have had anywhere this year) wife had the Steakburger. All the staff were friendly and efficient. I do recommend and we will be back. We even returned the following afternoon to watch the Celtic match in the cosy bar, Baxters. Sunday 01.10.23 returned this lunchtime we had the Turkey and Ham and i ordered a portion of the homemade chips with mine Wasn't disappointed, friendly and efficient staff a well run establishment I do recommend

We came here because of the good reviews, but it was a bit of a disappointment. It was not extremely bad, but certainly not good either. Staff were friendly. Both our meals were a good sized portion, but a bit flat in taste and lacking seasoning. The 'catch of the day ' fish honestly did not seem like fresh and self-breaded fish but more like frozen prefab. The two pieces were very uniform and the frying fat could use some refreshing too. The sea chowder served in a bread bowl was well-filled and very creamy, looked tasty and promising. Extra pepper and salt were needed here too, still the taste did not really deliver.

Food was delicious. Homemade fish and chips were so good. Lovely little stop off.

Very good food in a cozy, typical Irish pub. Super nice service. A pub mainly for locals but if you end up here it's an absolute insider tip! Always my pleasure.
