Royal Feast - Millbrae

Now, let’s discuss the most important aspect: the food! It was above average and quite tasty. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The scallion pancake was particularly good, though it had a slightly gamey taste, likely because it was fried in the same oil as lamb dishes. Here’s what we ordered, and we’d definitely get all of these again on a return visit: - Peking duck (requires an advance reservation a few hours ahead); it’s served three ways: with pancakes, in soup, and the fried bones cooked in a bean sauce. - Scallion pancake - Chong Qing crispy spicy chicken (we opted for boneless, but will try bone-in next time) - Beef roll - Pork chives dumplings - Mapo tofu (made with minced beef instead of the traditional minced pork) - Shredded pork in garlic sauce - Sweet and sour crispy pork - Dry-fried string beans - Kung Pao chicken The service was average, typical of a Chinese restaurant. The staff wasn’t particularly friendly, but they did their jobs. We brought our own wine, as the corkage fee is only $10 per bottle.

A heartfelt thank you to Royal Feast for hosting our family’s funeral wake. It was a challenge to find a venue that could accommodate our group size, schedule, and dietary preferences, but this restaurant turned out to be perfect. The chef created a multi-course feast of incredibly delicious and authentic Szechuan cuisine – truly a banquet fit for the occasion. Their private room was just the right size for our group of 20, and it allowed us to remember our loved one in a more intimate setting. I look forward to returning for a happier occasion!

The broccolini and beef dish was a bit too salty. We dined here a couple of weekends ago, and the food was excellent, but today's meal didn’t measure up—it was overly salty.

The best Peking duck, and I love the service here , I think this is the best Chinese food in Bay Area. I'll recommend Peking duck, spicy chicken, KongBao crab!
