At 8 AM, there were plenty of available seats, and I was seated quickly. However, the only server was in the kitchen, so I had to wait until he noticed me at the podium. The breakfast menu was pretty standard, and I ordered coffee along with the pancake, egg, and bacon combo. The meal arrived fairly quickly and tasted great. The price was $10.50 for the meal and $3.50 for the coffee. I realized on my way out that I could have had free coffee in the next room.
The bartender mentioned that the food used to be excellent and had decent reviews, so we were optimistic about our breakfast on a Sunday. Unfortunately, we were let down. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, but my plate was drenched in oil and the sauce was broken. While I can tolerate a broken sauce, the excessive oil was unappetizing. The eggs appeared to have been overcooked, looking somewhat dry yet still slightly runny. My wife tried the Joe's scramble and found it lacking in seasoning. With a bit more effort in the kitchen, I believe this place could really improve. On a positive note, the service was fantastic—no complaints there. Nevertheless, as other reviews have suggested, you might find better options just across the street. I truly hope they can reassess their food quality to enhance the overall experience.
Today, Summer and I discovered the Terrace Cafe for brunch after finding a 45-minute wait at the nearby Pancake House around 11 am. Although brunch officially starts at 11:30 am (which is different from what was listed on Yelp), we arrived around 11:15 and were promptly seated while our drink orders were taken. The menu was limited, but many of the egg dishes sounded appealing. We both opted for the Spanish omelette with egg whites, which included potatoes, jalapeños, and Swiss cheese, topped with a delicious sauce. To enhance the flavor, we added some ketchup and hot sauce. The staff was friendly and the food was served quickly. The cafe, located within a hotel, has a charming and separate feel, styled in a cute Spanish design. I might just return!
Our second time here. Conveniently located on the best western property so we walk over for dinner. They were open until 9 pm and we arrived at 8:45. The place was almost empty but they were happy to serve us. I had a hamburger because I wasn't sure I'd be able to get one for the next 3 weeks. It was very good and loaded with all the produce on the fancy side. You get your choice of cheese so I opted for the swiss. And it came with a ton of delicious fries. I could only eat half so I ate the other half for breakfast. Yet again, another successful park and fly experience with the shuttle service the following morning.
I went to Terrace Cafe with a group seniors on a Monday morning. It was pretty quiet and we pretty much got the whole place to ourselves. The service was good and our server was very accommodating to our group and was very polite the entire time. I made a special order for the fettuccine with pesto sauce instead of pesto cream sauce. The noodles were a little over cooked for me but the sauce was fine. Others in my group raved about the salmon. The restroom isn't convenient for those who may have difficulties with going down stairs.
