Pita Nutso - Milton

There are plenty of Shawarma options in Milton, but we always choose to go to Pita Nutso. The food is consistently delicious, the portions are generous, and the staff is really friendly!

I visit this restaurant at least twice a month to pick up dinner. The food is always freshly prepared and delicious, and the prices are very reasonable.

This used to be one of my favourite fast food places- but the quality has gone drastically downhill. Their shawarma used to have the sweetest, most delicious flavour and was so juicy. Now? Tasteless. Their garlic sauce was my favourite. I would put that s on everything if I could. I even used to pay $0.50/ea for multiple side orders of it so I could have some for another dish the next day! Now? Watery and lacking the garlic flavour. It's such a shame because their pitas really were the best around. If given the choice between pizza, burgers, wings or Pita Nutso- they won every time. Now? They're last choice.

History: PN was once a very busy place staffed by some of the most entertaining generous and attentive bunch of guys I have ever encountered period. For a time while we were busy we were getting food and or eating there several times a week, no longer. New ownership, a lengthy closure no signage as to what was happening make us go elsewhere. Ambiance: On seeing it open again we went back to try it. The menu has not changed but most everything else has and it is not for the better. Now the single man is there doing everything thing himself while trying to watch arabic subtitled action movies that a blasting away in the eating area which is more like a waiting room as there are people standing and ordering etc. you really can 't get a table that doesn 't gives you some privacy. It is modern and bright, starts out clean but since there is only one operator it gets dirtier as the day goes on. Speed: Even though it is not anywhere as busy as before anything a large order and multiple patrons are there the wait is typically 10-20 minutes. Its not fast food but have a 2nd would be helpful especially during peak times. Food: The food as others have mentioned now has smaller meat portions. The chicken shawarma is typical dry with burnt edges and chunks of gristle or some other inedible pieces that can hurt your mouth and or damage your teeth. The man that is there all the time is generally pleasant and friendly unless you have even minor quibble/comment at which point he will become defensive and loud blaming you for issue. In my case he doesn 't use or understand the mild med hot rating when applying hot sauce. I still go regularly to get a family member something as they are close by but can 't justify the price for a pita that is overfilled with iceberg lettuce. The place is clean and their most recent dinewise was perfect the previous had a Equipment and utensils are properly cleaned, sanitized and maintained That corrected at time of inspection. I rated them an average because in my mind poor means they are failing in most everything which they are not.

Taste good but the sandwich lacks chicken. Overfilled with salad with chicken hardly to be found. Meh...
