Blackwater Bistro - Milton

We had an excellent meal in this charming small town. Our server, Madison, was incredibly attentive and kind. It was an awesome evening!

I live in South Florida, but I spend a few months each year staying with a friend in Milton. I’m still getting to know the area, but I found Blackwater Bistro while searching for a great Muffaletta without making the trek to New Orleans. This place has quickly become one of my favorite things about Milton. The interior is lovely and clean, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. Being situated by the river is a nice bonus, but the real highlight is the food, which is excellent! Their Muffaletta is my absolute favorite, with an incredible olive tapenade. We’ve tried everything from the Cajun cheesecake to the triple threat Creole pasta, as well as at least two or three dishes from every section of their menu, and we haven’t encountered a meal we didn’t love. It’s definitely a hidden gem in the area!

My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time and were disappointed with both the food and the service. My husband’s ribs were tough, and his mashed potatoes and gravy were cold. My grouper was also cold, and when I sent it back, I received another piece of fish that was still cold. The server came to our table several times to bring the checks but never took any dishes or plates away. We’re willing to give it one more chance, but if we have another bad experience, it will just feel like a waste of our time and money. 3-13-21

Quaint little place that big on taste. We shared the Chicken Waffle Sandwich that was Huge. Very exciting flavors.

Blackwater Bistro is such a great local spot! The atmosphere is so inviting, the service is wonderful, the restaurant is very clean and the food is fantastic! I have visited many times and I’m never disappointed!! I highly recommend and will be back!
