The shepherd's pie we ordered was a single small dish with a side of broccoli, and the seasonal greens were just a few leaves of spinach. Our total bill for two people was £78.70, and we were rushed out within 37 minutes. Overall, this was a terrible experience for us, and we would strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant.
I went to Browns for their bottomless brunch on Christmas Eve. The staff was amazing, the food was delicious, and it was the perfect way to kick off our family Christmas celebration.
My husband and I decided to have a spontaneous lunch without the kids and celebrate my birthday early at Browns. Despite having experienced subpar service in the past, we decided to give it another try after a two-year hiatus. To our surprise, we had a pleasant experience this time around, mainly thanks to the outstanding service provided by Adriano. While some of the staff still lacked in hospitality skills, Adriano stood out for his attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, and friendly demeanor. He made sure to check in on us and even corrected small details like the placement of our dishes. His excellent service truly made a difference for us. The refurbished bar also impressed us, and the barman was incredibly friendly. Overall, Adriano and the rest of the staff have changed my perspective on Browns, and I am now considering returning in the future. Kudos to the staff who represent the brand well.
Great place to eat, awesome food and great atmosphere too. Ivana was a fantastic with her service and made sure we were well attended. Definitely recommend
Not having been here for a few years and having had a good experience the last time, we opted to go back last Saturday evening. We called in without a booking and were given a table straight away. Our waitress was very attentive and we ordered our food and drinks. That’s where things took a nose dive sadly. We waited over an hour for our food but the lovely waitress did keep apologising. We felt like walking out, but didn’t think we would get a table that late anywhere else. The food when it eventually arrived was very basic and over priced. I had a lemon sole full of bones which was served with a bit of seaweed and bowl of about five halved baby potatoes costing £27. There were no vegetables and to be honest after scraping what fish there was and eating the few potatoes I was still hungry but really didn’t want to risk the wait for a dessert. The burger meal and fish and chips were apparently ok but not amazing. When the bill was brought to the table, give them their due, the service charge had been removed because of our wait. I don’t think we will be returning, especially as I got home and made myself a sandwich!
