Outdoor Patio was cool looking so was the in House Cafe. Overall had a wonderful experience will be back for sure next time we come to Harley Davidson Fest.
Stay away like the plague. Car was stolen out of their rear lot, there’s no security measures whatsoever other than a couple cameras that don’t even manage to pick up the entire parking lot. I wasn’t the first car stolen out of their lot either, so it's an ongoing issue. Hotel also would not provide me with security footage of the incident. The rooms have a historic charm but have very old very poor AC units which will not keep the room cool. Until they update security measures and are actually concerned with the safety of their guests belongings do not even consider staying here.
Beautiful classic hotel with apartment style rooms with full kitchens. Parking is just across the street and is $15 a day. I'd stay here again.
To try to find a way to decompress from constant activity during a work trip, I booked a room at the Plaza Hotel. Maybe it is because I'm not familiar with the area, but it seemed hard for the staff to believe I was a guest every night that I'd return from work to head to my room. Until I showed them the keys and confirmed my room number, I'd be questioned and not in a manner that honestly came off as friendly or welcoming but more as investigative. Maybe I'm too reserved or private for this form of conversation, but it felt unnecessary. Aside from that, a picture frame above the headboard fell onto my bed. The adhesive seemed to have given out either due to humidity or poor installation. I don't care to write an essay, so I'll end this pointedly. Essentially, it seems I paid to stay at a hotel where I was left feeling under a microscope and anything but welcome. I was relieved to leave far before the required checkout and don't plan on returning to the hotel. Due to its reputation, I'd like to think this is an isolated incident that unfortunately was my experience. Aesthetically, it is a fine hotel that will survive without my business.
The hotel itself is not bad although there's a few quirks that I'm sure they'll fix one-day if the budget improves. Anyway a positive was the rug adventure where the staff removed the rugs in our halls. I have no opinion one way or another about those rugs I could take them or leave them don't care but tried to be a good sport and complimented the management about replacing a rug just to be nice. A neighbor put one of their rugs in the trash at night and smugly walked to the metro market afterwards. The others were removed by staff in this section only for no obvious reason except like in Aladdin sometimes rugs mysteriously fly away. Don't worry the manager said the rugs have trackers and are rented so I'm sure those little carpets can't get too far. The staff was leaving destroyed objects and strange notes outside mine and a few others properties. They also put goop on the floor and door knob to our back hallway which was totally helpful. Since the rug was removed up here a guest of mine slipped on a puddle on the floor from when it rained. Obviously that leaked from the roof hatch oh no not again. Can't complain too much thank you.
