That can't be serious. The duck was so overcooked and dried out that it was nearly inedible. While the service was pleasant enough, it was overall quite indifferent. We have been dining at Ratzsch's since the 1950s, and it has unfortunately become a shadow of its former self. If Karl Jr., who ran the restaurant for many years, were to experience it today, he would surely be turning in his grave. The atmosphere still retains its charm and evokes a wonderful era, but unfortunately, the food quality, preparation, and service do not live up to those standards. Oh, and I should mention the prices? They are definitely on the higher side compared to other fine dining options in Milwaukee, making it poor value for what you get. We will be exploring some of the other German restaurants in the area moving forward.
