The soups and sandwiches at this restaurant are fantastic. The salads are also quite tasty. While it may be a bit expensive, that seems to be the norm these days. Overall, I would give the food a perfect 5 out of 5 rating.

I highly recommend having the vegetarian tomato bisque available all day, every day! It is a fantastic soup that deserves five stars for the food quality. The service and atmosphere, however, only receive four stars. It would be beneficial for the employees to avoid using their phones unless it is work-related, and to have a bit more charisma when interacting with customers. I have visited two locations and experienced the same issue of employees being on their phones unnecessarily. Overall, providing better customer service will earn this restaurant a perfect five-star rating in the future. The soup and bread are both fantastic!

The soup at this restaurant is incredibly delicious. There are many options to choose from and it is clear that each one is made with care and patience. The cornbread muffins are also amazing - they were so good that I felt guilty for comparing them to my late grandmother's. It's best to arrive early to avoid missing out on these delicious dishes.

I'm not sure why this place has such low reviews given what I've seen, and it seems as though some of these reviews are not even *for* this location (Vliet St)?Yes the wait was a bit long, but I arrived just after noon so that's not surprising given both the time and weather (dreary, rainy, overall perfect soup weather). The soup I ordered (a quart of Chicken Noodle and a bowl of mushroom barley) was hot and delicious, and so was the toffee cookie I got. The woman working behind the counter was very friendly. My only complaint was that she was working by herself trying to keep up with everyone coming in so I'm sure having an extra person on staff during the lunch rush would help mitigate the wait times.Overall, great experience for my first time in. I was admittedly scared off for some time because of the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised and look forward to ordering from here again soon!Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian soup and sandwich options available; saw at least one vegan soup as well. All were labeled appropriately in their names for easy identification.
