Mèng Shì Chá Wū - 明日香村

Located right next to the Ishibutai Kofun, this restaurant offers homemade meals with a warm touch from local ladies. We rented bikes and arrived around 2pm on a weekday, only to find that they had already sold out of lunch meals. It's better to come early if you want to have lunch. So, we decided to try their Asuka Ruby strawberry cake. The restaurant overlooks a spacious grassy park where you can relax. I came to this restaurant after reading about it in a doujinshi for a bullet hell game! I ordered the ancient rice onigiri and set meal, which were featured in the doujinshi. The onigiri was chewy and had a rustic flavor to it. The set meal was delicious, not just the ancient rice but everything else as well!

After visiting Dansan Shrine, we used the lunch service. I visited here last year and it was very beautiful, so I visited Dansan Shrine during the autumn foliage season. After that, we used this place for lunch, including exploring Ishibutai Kofun. I had the specialty Ancient Rice Set (1,250 yen)! You order and pay at the cash register first. The food was very delicious. There is also a terrace seat, so I would like to use it when it gets warmer. If you are using the restaurant, please use the dedicated parking lot. You can use it without paying the parking fee of 500 yen. Thank you for the meal.

開店後すぐに行って正解でした。 後から次々とお客さんが来られてました。 ポン酢で食べる小雪鍋御膳を頂きました！ 古代米と共に野菜たっぷりの鍋を食べて 身体が喜んでる感じ 子供らが注文した古代米の雑炊や お寿司の付いたセットも 『めっちゃおいしい〜！！』と大絶賛してました。 デザートに注文したチーズケーキも とても美味しかったです！ 店員さんもすごく感じが良くて 幸せな時間が過ごせました。 こんなお店が近くにあればいいなぁ〜

お正月の高カロリーを大人しくさせるためにやって来ました。 ここの古代米雑炊はとても美味しい。 お値段650円、広々2階店内で石舞台眺め良いですよ。
