Famous Dave 's Quick 'que - Minneapolis

This is a place best chosen for take out food and not a dine in experience. Found that the online lunch menu had considerably more and better priced options than the menu for dining in. The food is a little below what I remember from the old Famous Dave's format that many of us are used to. There are enough other BBQ places up here that I find have better quality food at the same price point but also more options on their menus. This isn't a first, second or third choice for me anymore.

I really wanted to like this place since it's so close to my house. Today was my boyfriend's birthday and he wanted Famous Daves for dinner. I ordered online and went to pick it up. He ordered a pick 2 combo and I ordered the pick one. They put the wrong sides in each of our boxes so we had to switch.. He said his chicken meat was kind of fatty. I'm from the south so I grew up on BBQ this was pretty subpar. My pork was coated in some weird tasting BBQ sauce and the French fries seemed like they've been sitting out all day. The muffins were good though! Probably won't be back for a while. This place kind of looked like more of a fast food joint than a restaurant. Please do better!

I stopped in on a Saturday evening for a Beef Brisket Sandwich to go. The employees seemed very disengaged and weren't particularly friendly or helpful. I was not offered silverware, napkins, BBQ sauce, or a bag for my take out order. I had to ask for the BBQ sauce. The brisket itself was pretty good, but I was very unimpressed with the portion of the sides. The employee seemed to put as little into the cup as reasonably possible.

I stopped here the other day for lunch as I wanted to see what the quick que meant as they moved into a new building. This was really cool because it was like fast food and they had food ready! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food tasted great and they were more than happy to give me extra sauce packets! I would highly recommend stopping here to eat when you are in the area!

Been to many famous daves around the metro and wanted to give this place a shot since i was in the area. I can tell you this stay away from the ribtips, ive never had ribtips from any famous daves this dried out, it looks like they left it out and reheated it just for that 1 lucky customer. Had to throw it all out along with my hard earned money. You guys just opened up gotta do better coonrapids famous daves!
