They were out of the gluten free peanut butter choc chip ????. So ???? I have been back a few times and I was able to get the gluten free peanut butter ???? and the monster ????...oh my goodness, so good. All the staff are super friendly. Must go and have ? here..everyone. They have taken out the booths and put in a big table. No seating in the front area right now . Still making great drinks and have gluten free bars and cookies and the coconut macaroons are very very good.
There is ample street parking around this cafe. The staff are really kind and well informed about the menu. I ordered the pesto sandwich with a cup of cauliflower parm soup. There was great seating options on the patio. However, I was disappointed in the wait for food. My spouse ordered the quesadilla on the same ticket and received his food about ten minutes earlier than I received mine, which was fine. But it took 30 minutes for my soup and sandwich to come out because the ?soup was too hot to serve.? However, the food was really good. I would recommend visiting this restaurant, but not being on a schedule.
Ok so I really like this place. The breakfast sandwiches are bomb and the drinks are pretty good. They are in my neighborhood, so it?s a perfect walk during the summer. Ok so why the 2 stars if this place slaps? Because they have the worst wait times. It will take 30 minutes to make a single breakfast sandwich on a slow day. I have on multiple occasions called my order in ahead, arrived to pick it up 20 minutes later, and waited 20 more minutes to get my food. The icing on the cake is often they don?t bother calling out the orders, so you just stand there wasting time. It is so frustrating. I have stopped coming here as often as I would just because it?s a minimum 20 minute affair to get a latte and 45 to get a sandwich.
I love this spot. The coffee is great. The scones are the best in south Minneapolis since Colossal Cafe left- my only beef with this spot is the speed. Baristas are so slow. I saw a lady stand at the POS counter today for at least 10 minutes before getting greeted. If you are getting a coffee to-go, be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes. I?m not into slamming shops on Google and giving them one star for stuff. But, I feel like speed and efficiency is the one thing Fireroast could work on. Otherwise, perfect spot.
Initially we stumbled onto the place while we were waiting for a movie to begin at Riverview and had about 45 minutes to wait... Fantastic!!! Love the patio..sandwiches and, yup..even the canned wine!! We've gone back and will continue to do so ?? -Venus
