Hajime Sushi - Minneapolis

This place is in a strip-mall and on a hungry night we stopped here. The place is brightly illuminated and seemed to be the local irrigation hole for your average collage children. It was very loud and a lot of plumage, but I was mesmerized by the artistry of the chefs. The sushi was very good and fresh. Some of the non-rusted items were not as expected, but we ended here due to the late hours. You can observe how to prepare meals and observe that they make everything decorative for a great presentation. I was happy with the food. The menu was very big and the happy hour was great. We had a lot of food and a desert for under $40 per person.

Everything about this place is fantastic!! I'd give 10 out of 5 stars if I could. Our server was very polite and helped my engagement to properly express our dishes. She was so patient and friendly. This was our first time to come here and we will definitely come back.

Sushi ordered? Combos and beer. Excellent experience! Not a big restaurant; just enough space. There is a sushi bar and a drink bar in addition to the dining table. The beer prices were fair. Recommended for sushi; will try other dishes like Udon noodles again.

The first time in Hajime. Something casual atmosphere not formal. Our party of four started with something edamame that was very tasty. For the main square we ordered several rolls, both cooked and uncooked. Including a white dragon roll and poison spider roll, two of my favorites. We also had a sweet and sassy roll a volcano roll and others. All reels were very good and cheap. Drinks were also good. I would recommend this place without hesitation. Make reservations now and get sushi.

We went on Friday night and it was PACKED. Even with a reservation we still had to wait in line a good 10 minutes. The atmosphere is loud and lively, not what I was expecting. The chefs prepare the sushi visibly, near the bar. The food was AMAZING and the menu is awesome. I got the North Shore roll and it was super good. Husband got the shrimp hibachi. His only complaint was the rice was chicken fried rice and didn't taste like the classic hibachi fried rice. All in all very good, excited to return.
