Salut Bar Americain - Edina

The food, ambiance, and service at this restaurant were outstanding. I ordered the steak and fries for lunch and it was excellent. I would definitely come back with my family.

We recently had a group dinner at Salut and it exceeded all of our expectations! From making the reservation to enjoying our dessert, everything went smoothly and the food was delicious. The staff managed to accommodate our group of almost 20 people in the back area and served us promptly with a smile. I highly recommend the walleye, but all the options on the menu received rave reviews from our group. The atmosphere was fantastic, the menu was well-curated, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I would definitely choose to dine at Salut again in the future.

Overall, it was a very good experience. The ambiance is good with a French theme. The server was very nice and attentive. The menu has a nice selection of food with some a French themes mixed in. I had the full Caesar salad and cup of French onion soup. Both were very good. The salad was fresh and very big. The soup was very good. My spouse ordered the Croque Monsieur. While it was tasty, it was more like a ham and cheese on a hoagie than a croque monsieur. If you are looking for great French cuisine, this probably is not the place to go. If you are looking for a very good meal with a French ambiance, this is an excellent choice. Will definitely go back and try other things on the menu.

It was very busy and we got our food and beverages timely.

We were sorry to see that our favorite dish, the short ribs, were no longer on the menu. I stand we ordered the hanger steak. Mine was terribly underdone and my husband’s was almost inedible it was so rare. Ordered the bread, which came after our meal. Not a good experience.
